Core Product Questions
A sisimono lamp is a modular, stackable design lamp you 3D-print yourself. Every segment is printed on a small desktop printer, but once stacked together the result is a full-size, sculptural light piece. Big impact, small printer. It’s inspired by classic Italian glass forms but built for the DIY era.
You receive a download folder containing:
- All STL files needed to print the complete lamp
- A clear printing & assembly guide with recommended settings
You’ll need to source your own LED strip. The guide includes specific recommendations so you can get the correct one.
The lamps were designed and tested on a Bambu P1S.
Any printer with a build volume of 250 × 250 × 250 mm or larger will handle it:
• Bambu Lab X / P / A series — 256 × 256 × 256 mm
• Creality K1 Max — 300 × 300 × 300 mm
• Original Prusa XL — 360 × 360 × 360 mm
If your printer can print 250mm-wide parts, you’re good.
3D Printing & Assembly
Each piece takes about 3-6 hours.
The full large lamp takes roughly 45 hours of total print time.
You'll need about 4kg of filament.
- 1kg PLA for the base
- 1kg translucent PETG for the light column
- 2kgs translucent PETG or translucent PLA for the shades
Yes. The inner light column clicks together, the shades slide over it, and the base anchors everything. No glue or tools necessary, just straightforward assembly.
No supports. Everything is designed to print cleanly without them.
All recommended settings: layer height, infill, shells, and speed — are listed in the guide. Follow those and you’ll get the best translucency and fit.
I’ve stress-tested the “how tall can you go?” question. Seven modules seems to be the safe limit. Tall, but still stable enough to support its own height.
Use common sense. PETG is strong, but gravity is absolute.

Yes. Every file contains a unique identifier tied to your order. This protects the design.
Safety & Usage
The light tube is designed around the dimensions of a Philips Hue Solo LED strip, but other strips can be used as long as they and fit within the internal groove. The internal groove is 17 x 5 mm
The light tube should be printed in PETG due to heat from the LEDs. The base and lamp shades can be printed in PLA if preferred.
PETG only begins to deform around 80–85°C, which is far above what LED strips produce.
In normal use: no discoloration, no sagging, no melting.
Yes, you can even use it as a night lamp ;)
